Festival of TreesThis holiday, come enjoy Amelia Island’s Festival of Trees and get in the spirit of giving! Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort has invited 11 local charities to decorate Christmas trees donated by the local Home Depot around the Shops of Amelia Island. Each individual tree is represented by a non-profit organization that has made an impact within the local community. All of the donated trees have been decorated and are currently on display in our quaint shopping village next to Marché Burette and now we’re asking for your support! Come out to the Shops between now and January 1, 2016 and support your favorite local charity by donating dollars to their tree. It’s easy to do and for a wonderful cause. Participating charities are:

Nassau Humane Society

Barnabas Center

Katie Caples Foundation

Girl Power 2 Cure

Take Stock in Children

McArthur Family YMCA

Amelia Island Montessori School

Micah’s Place

Communities in Schools

Council on Aging Camden County

Habitat for Humanity

The trees are located in the Village Shops area, mostly on the back patios of the different buildings, and are festively decorated according to each charity’s theme. They each have a sign near them that tells which tree belongs to which organization.

Take a stroll around the shops and check out all of the trees. Once you have decided which one you like best and which charity you’d like to support, head in to Marche Burette, Harrison’s Mercantile, or Amelia’s Signature Shop and tell the cashier the corresponding number of the tree you’d like to vote for. Specify the amount and charity and they will happily ring you up. We accept cash, room charge, member charge, and all major credit cards. We hope you’ll make it out for a wonderful cause.
