It’s that time of year again, when two SEC giants prepare to face off for one of the most prominent rivalry games in college football. Held in Jacksonville, Florida since 1933 (with two exceptions) the Florida vs Georgia football game has been aptly nicknamed “The World’s Largest Cocktail Party” and for good reason. The 2015 Florida Georgia Football Weekend promises to continue that tradition by attracting huge crowds to J-ville once again for a soiree of tailgating and football-themed fun revolving around Saturday’s gridiron showdown.
Let the Tailgating Begin…
To celebrate the historic weekend, Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort
is gearing up for its annual Florida-Georgia Bash
on Friday, October 30. Enjoy Northeast Florida’s biggest pool party featuring handcrafted cocktails, great food and live music from the “Swingin’ Medallions.” The annual event is open to the public and will also feature a costume contest with prizes and two drink vouchers with each ticket purchased. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the Swingin’ Medallions taking the stage at 7:00 p.m. The party will go on, rain or shine, so no matter who you’re rooting for, start your weekend off right at The Omni and enjoy an evening of dancing and fun. Tickets can be purchased online at flgabash.com
Weekend packages are also available for all of you game day fanatics! With our 2015 Florida Georgia Football Classic Package you’ll enjoy luxurious accommodations, transportation to and from Saturday’s game, an arrival amenity and two tickets to Friday night’s Florida-Georgia Bash (along with drink vouchers). Packages are available for both the resort
and the villas
and are truly the best way to experience one of college football’s biggest weekends.
Whether you’re into Gator Chomping or Gator Stomping, Omni Amelia Island Plantation is the perfect destination to kickoff the 2015 Florida Georgia Football weekend. But hurry, tickets and packages are selling fast and game day is just right around the corner! No matter who you choose to tailgate with, please remember to do so responsibly.
